Abyss is a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel written by David Weddle and Jeffrey Lang, and published in July 2001. It is the third novel in the Deep Space Nine Relaunch and the fourth novel in the Section 31 miniseries. Weddle is one of only two writers who contributed to both the Deep Space Nine television series and the Relaunch novels.
